Sacred Heart Brick Set

I received this VONADO Sacred Heart building set as a thoughtful gift, and it turned out to be a peaceful weekend project that brought the whole family together. The 667 pieces clicked into place without much fuss, though a couple of the smaller blood-drop elements needed a gentle nudge to stay secure. Once assembled, the model stands about 9 inches tall and looks striking on the shelf—especially when the kids discovered that twisting the cross lights up the flame inside the heart.The instructions were clear enough for an adult to follow, but the younger builders nearby stayed engaged by sorting the red and gold bricks while I handled the finer details. It’s not a toy they play with daily, but it has become a quiet conversation piece during evening prayers, and the glow feature adds a warm touch without being overpowering. The packaging was sturdy, and everything arrived intact, which made the unboxing feel special right from the start.Overall, this set delivers a meaningful blend of craft and symbolism that feels more like decorative art than just another building kit. I have been building with Legos since I was a kid, and I have a huge box of all the ones I have collected over the years. I was very excited to find a Christian themed building set even if it isn't actually made by Lego. This set is pretty beautiful and very detailed! It also includes a lot of special pieces that are unique to this set.When I opened the box, I found it separated into eight bags that are clearly labeled with the sequence number for assembly. The 51 page instructions list all the pieces included in the set, and it has all the detailed assembly pictures divided by the bags.I'll be honest, I wouldn't know it wasn't a genuine Lego set except that it doesn't have the name on top of each bump. Since it is completely compatible, I can add it to my existing box of parts to use in other projects I come up with on my own.

UPDATE: I went back to take a 2nd look at the pieces and found I had made a mistake and used the wrong size piece. I corrected my error and was merrily on my way. It was moving along nicely until I got to the flames. The flame assembly is very fragile. The flames have crumbled into my hands at least 20 times. I pulled out my glue to combat the fragile nature of the flame structure but continued to have issues with the fragile nature and attaching the flames to the top of the heart.It's a very cute design and it breaks my heart to toss this into my extra pieces box. I give up. Unfortunately, I didn't make it very far. I only got to step 64 out of 180 when I found out I was missing a piece. I'm super bummed but know I have extra pieces from a red cardinal project and will pick back up as soon as I find a replacement piece (pointed out in photo).Had I not had any missing pieces this would have been an easy 5 stars. It was very easy and quick to assemble and I love the design.INSIGHTFor this piece the bags are nicely labeled for the stage of assembly. They do not go in a gradual order, just open everything for each stage at once. I think it was by step 2 I had all of the stage 1 bags open.

As someone who loves building sets and also the sacred heart iconography, I was so intrigued by this set. The heart comes packaged in a colorful box that would make a great gift. Inside, all of the pieces are labeled in separate baggies, and the instruction booklet is heavily illustrated and clear to follow. Basically the pieces are compatible with other mainstream building block systems, and the instructions are laid out in the same way.The blocks are colorful and shiny and it was fun building it for the most part. However there are some flaws with the blocks I want to address. Some of the pieces are VERY fussy and I had a hard time snapping them into place. Also, once you started building the core heart area, there are some very fragile points and you have to be careful when snapping in sections. I learned this the hard way as the item fell apart when I was about 30 percent into the build, and I ended up having to start from scratch.While I was very enthusiastic about building this, these setbacks were very discouraging and frustrating when blocks would keep popping out. The last section, which consisted of the thorns, was kind of quirky and fragile too. Anyhow, I finished the piece and am happy with it overall, it will be displayed in my home and does look striking, but I am docking a star due to the quality of some of the blocks. Otherwise, a really interesting set.

I thought the Vonado Jesus Heart Brick Set was unique so ordered it for my collection. The set comes in a very nice box with images of the finished model on the outside. Inside are numbered bags of bricks and the manual. The bricks are all Lego compatible and snap together easily and the manual is very easy to follow.The way that the manual is designed is fantastic. The bags are all numbered with some steps having a 1 & 2 bag. You will only need to open a single bag at a time and it makes things MUCH quicker during the build. The manual is very clear and no step requires more than a few bricks so they go by quickly. The entire build took me about 90 minutes. The majority of the build is smooth sailing and everything is solid when attached. It's when you get to the barb wire that things get a bit frustrating. The parts on the side have to go together on a curve so it can be a hassle getting the sides to stay together while keeping everything straight. The lighting is a bit weak but, in the dark, it is very visible.Overall, this is definitely a unique build. At $33 for an almost 700 piece build, I think it is priced very fairly.
